The wheels held up very well and made it easy to move the pieces, but the handles were firmly attached and that made it easy to lift them. I prefer to lift a case with both hands when possible and the top and side handles accommodate that very well. The pieces were handled on planes, trains, automobiles, trams, and buses and were never a problem. I even bounced it down a few sets of subway stairs when I was tired and they held up just fine. I have read complaints that spinner cases do not roll on two wheels very easily, but that was not the case with this set. I found it very easy to switch from moving it on four wheels to moving it on two. (Just put your foot by the front wheels and pull it toward you and you'll be on two wheels in no time!)
